There are several types of tragedy drama as in the following part :
a. Senecan Tragedy
Precurcors pf tragedic dramas were the tragedies by the Roman poet Seneca. His tragedies were recited than staged but they became a model for English playwrights entailing the five-act structure, a complex plot and elevated style of dialogue.
b. Revenge Tragedy/ Tragedy of Blood
This type of tragedy represented a popular genre in the Elizabethan Age and made extensive use of certain elements of the Senencan tragedy such as murder, revenge, mutilations, and ghosts.
c. Tragedycomedy
Tragedicomedies, as the name suggest, intermingle conventions concerning plot, character and subject matter derrived from both tragedy and comedy.
